Geyser was founded in 1983 as an independent non-profit association. It worked on supporting ecological agriculture and biodiversity conservation, on rural policies, on GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) and on international cooperation. Today, it has two main focuses: participatory processes and mediation in environmental and rural issues, farmers’ ecological knowledge. Geyser is currently working in France and abroad, especially Europe and Latin America.
