The group of communes « Communauté de communes du plateau de Frasne et du val du Drugeon (CFD) gathers 10 municipalithies for a population of 5 700 inhabitants and a surface of 178 km².

Located in the Haut-Doubs, in the Eastern part of France, on a plateau at 850 m altitude with mountain climate, the territory of the CFD is marked by activities related to forestry and wood processing, agriculture and milk processing (AOP Comté, Morbier, Mont d’Or …) but also by a dynamic art and craft fabric and a growing population.

It is also characterised by the presence of remarkable natural environments with the Drugeon basin, which is one of the largest French altitude wetlands with more than 2,000 hectares of peat bogs, lakes, marshes, streams, marshy forests with exceptional ecological quality.
